Rock Steady Boxing: Fighting Back Against Parkinsonโ€™s

Rock Steady Boxing participants fight back against the symptoms of Parkinsonโ€™s Disease. With tough workouts, lots of laughter, and true camaraderie, we take on PD together.

Level 1/2 โ€“ The original! The class combines non-contact boxing drills, balance, agility, strength, and core exercises for individuals at all fitness levels. This high-energy class focuses on basic, non-contact boxing drills. Many other types of exercise are incorporated into the class to provide each participant with a full body workout. Participants need good mobility and the ability to get down on the floor and up again. No boxing experience is needed.

Level 3/4 โ€“ This class shares the same positive, fun, comprehensive approach to group exercise as the original class, but at a more moderate tempo. Workouts include non-contact boxing drills, balance, strength, cognitive activities and more. All exercises can be completed standing or seated.

Studies show that aerobic exercise can help people with Parkinsonโ€™s improve their quality of life and help actively combat their symptoms. Instructor Susie Rosenstein has been a personal trainer since 2012 and is a Rock Steady Boxing certified coach.
