2024 Summer Softball League on Mercer Island

Softball returns this summer with Sunday games on the newly renovated South Mercer Playfields. Open to everyone ages 15 and up. Join us this summer on the diamond!

The J celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2024 and softball is a big part of our history. Since 1981, the J’s co-rec softball league has been a mainstay of Mercer Island summers. Whether you’re a competitive veteran after the title or a rookie just looking to relax and have some fun in the sun, we’ve got a place for you.

Summer 2024

Schedule: June 23-August 18, 2024; Fundraiser/HR Derby TBA
Games: Sundays between noon and 3 pm
Location: South Mercer Playfields, 8220 SE 78th St, Mercer Island

Rates

• $96 members free agent for 8 game season
• $120 guests free agent for 8 game season
• $1,200 team (12-30 players)

Teams must register by May 31.

Team Requirements + League Information

• Minimum of 12 players; maximum of 30
• Ages 15+
• As a co-recreational league, the expectation is a least 4 women on the field and in the lineup
• Your team can have 3 women on the field, but then only 9 players on the field, rather than 10 and every fourth women batter is an out
• Rules will be given out at the beginning of the season
• Games will include umpires
