Mindy Geisser, President
Mindy has more than two decades of HR leadership experience with companies such as Colliers International, Amazon, and Savers Value Village, where she currently serves as the Chief People Services Officer. An advocate for diversity, inclusion, and ensuring a respectful workplace, Mindy’s people-centric strategies help shape Savers’ growth and positive impact. Committed to all things recruitment, training, team member relations, and employee retention, building and developing people’s capabilities is at the heart of what Mindy loves most. Outside the office, Mindy enjoys hiking, walking, skiing, and spending time with her family. A longtime J member, Mindy has served on the board since 2016. Her four children attended the J’s Early Childhood School and Summer J Camp, and have continued to work in J Kids + Camp programs over the years.

Elaine Kraft, Vice President, at-large
Elaine Kraft is a lifelong Eastside resident and SJCC member. She brings more than 35 years of experience in public policy, media, government and community relations, crisis communications, and development to the SJCC board. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism from the University of Washington and an MBA and MPA from the University of Puget Sound. She has worked as a reporter for the King County Journal and held director-level communications, political, and outreach positions at the Washington State Legislature, the Weyerhaeuser Company, Coors Brewing Company, and as the executive communications director for King County Executive Ron Sims and for the Cascade Water Alliance. She, her parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren have used and loved the SJCC. She is serving on the J’s board for the second time in the past three decades, and is most proud of her work to help bring the Maccabi games to Seattle. She is working to see the J into the future with a new home.

Jay Behar, Vice President, at-large
Jay is an experienced chairman with a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry. He owned and operated Behar’s Furniture for 30 years and is currently the executive director of Pacific Furniture Dealers. A strong entrepreneurship professional, Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Washington. A Seattle native, Jay grew up attending Summer J Camp and Purim carnivals, and his children attended the J’s Early Childhood School. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, reading, and spending time with his family.

Natasha Greyber, Treasurer
Natasha is a former senior tax CPA, who worked in international corporate tax at Expedia (2004-2011) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (2001-2004). She holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA in professional accounting and taxation from Texas McCombs School of Business. Natasha’s two children attended the J’s Early Childhood School, and her family has been part of the J community for years. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, fitness, and travel.

Jill Handaly, Secretary
Jill received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University in 1993, majoring in early childhood education with a focus on language and literacy development. She taught preschool in Houston, Boston, and Seattle. In 2000, she earned her master’s degree in speech and hearing sciences from the University of Washington. She joined Benoliel Speech and Language as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in 2010. Jill’s children attended the J’s Early Childhood School and she met many of her friends (who now feel like family) at the J over the years. In her free time, she enjoys making and selling jewelry and walking her dog.
