Counselor in Training
Grades: 9th-10th
Cost: : $432 members | $480 guests per two-week session
Camp Dates: Weeks 3-4 (July 6-17); Weeks 7-8 (Aug 3-14)
Location: Stroum Jewish Community Center
Hours: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm (Monday – Friday)
Counselors in Training explore leadership and tzedakah (philanthropy) through hands-on project management experiences. They’ll learn how to be a camp counselor at the J while fine-tuning leadership skills with an emphasis on group dynamics, curriculum creation, project management, and problem-solving. Learn more >>

Are you 15 or older and looking for a summer job? We are looking for dedicated counselors and specialists who are eager to make a difference in the lives of our campers at Summer J Camp. Counselors work with kids ranging in age from pre-K to 10th grade. View open positions >>
Teen Memberships
Teens can have their own SJCC membership, with access to everything at the J: work out in the Fitness Center, swim laps in the pool, and take great group exercise classes like Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, Power Hour, Boot Camp, and more! Learn more >>
