Helping Hands Hanukkah Drive

Spread light to families in need this Hanukkah. The SJCC and the Schwartz Early Childhood School are partnering with Jewish Family Service’s Winter Warmth Drive to donate warm gifts and winter-friendly clothing items to the families JFS serves. We’ll have displays around the building with hands listing requested items – simply pick the hand with the item you want to provide and then bring your unwrapped gifts back to the J anytime between November 2 through 10 am on December 1! This is a wonderful way to help our community and to teach children about tzedakah (charitable giving) and mitzvot (good deeds).

When you purchase and donate these new winter items, you’ll provide resettled refugees with a necessity they do not have when they arrive and one that is too expensive to purchase.
