Events Description
Spend a rewarding day outdoors giving back to the community with City Fruit! Volunteers may help harvest fresh fruit, bag or net fruit trees, weed and mulch orchard areas, or assist with other seasonal orchard projects. Your efforts will directly support City Fruit’s mission of rescuing and distributing fresh, local fruit to more than 50 Seattle community partners, including food banks, meal programs and schools, helping increase equitable access to healthy food.
No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and be ready to make a meaningful difference while enjoying time outdoors.
This event is part of the SJCC Endless Opportunities series, a community program offering daytime educational and social events where participants can learn, socialize, laugh and make friends. Endless Opportunities is hosted by the Stroum Jewish Community Center and supported by the following partners: Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation Kol Ami, Jewish Family Service, Kline Galland, Temple Beth Am, Temple B’nai Torah and Temple De Hirsch Sinai.
