MUSIC | The Klezmatics: Hanukkah & 40th Anniversary Celebration

“The Klezmatics aren’t just the best band in the klezmer vanguard; on a good night, they can rank among the greatest bands on the planet.” – Time Out New York

Join us for a Hanukkah concert celebrating the Grammy-winning Yiddish band and klezmer superstars, The Klezmatics’ 40th anniversary and the release of their new album, “We Were Made For These Times,” a powerful new body of work rooted in protest, hope and resilience.

The show features songs from both their “Woodie Guthrie’s Happy Joyous Hanukkah” and new 40th anniversary album, which fuses Jewish song traditions with Black gospel, Latin American rhythms, avant-jazz improvisation and global roots influences. As always, The Klezmatics create a shared musical language of solidarity, collective action and radical joy—needed for the world we are living in now.

Reserved Seating. Doors open at 6 PM for Hanukkah Happy Hour with signature Manischewitz cocktails, wine/beer and noshes for sale.

Cosponsored by: Margo and Jacob z”l Engelstein.
