The Basics
Dates: Monday, June 23โFriday, August 22, 2025 (no camp July 4 for Independence Day)
Schedule: Weekly, MondayโFriday, unless otherwise noted
Ages: Pre-K (age 4) through 10th grade in fall 2025
Time: 9 amโ4 pm. For drop-off & pick-up options and times

- Stroum JCC on Mercer Island
- Campers at the SJCC may also spend time at Herzl-Ner Tamid Synagogue, the French American School of the Puget Sound, and the Northwest Yeshiva High School
- Luther Burbank Park & Mercer Island Community & Event Center on Mercer Island
- Green Lake Park & Seattle Jewish Community School in Seattle

*Families who register for four or more weeks or take advantage of our early bird discount will receive a 10% discount. However, during the early bird registration window, these discounts cannot be combined to exceed 15%.
Tuition Assistance
We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive community where everyone is welcome. We offer tuition assistance based on a familyโs ability to pay because we believe that a more accessible program is a more successful program.
For applications received by March 1, offers will be extended by March 15. For applications received by April 15, offers will be extended by May 1. Everyone who applies by April 15 will receive assistance. After April 15, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and assistance will be distributed as funds allow. J Camp Add-Ons
J Camp offers easy ways for busy families to extend their childโs camp day. You can register for camp extras in one-week increments through the CampInTouch portal, unless otherwise specified.
Extended Careย
Grades: Pre-K โ 7th

$173 members | $189 guests for AM and PM Care
Dates: Weeks 1-9 (June 23-Aug. 22; closed July 4)

Hours:โฏ7:30 – 9 am and 4 – 6 pm, Monday โ Friday
Description: Extended care is a great way for campers to have fun in a safe environment before and after the typical camp day. Campers choose their own adventure with a range of calm and active activities. Campers are welcome to bring breakfast and/or an extra snack to eat. Available at all three locations: SJCC on Mercer Island, Luther Burbank Park* on Mercer Island, and Seattle Jewish Community School at Green Lake.
*Campers in Katan or Kef @ Luther Burbank will be shuttled to and/or from the J.
Bus Transportationย
Grades: Pre-K โ 10th
Cost:โฏ$173 members | $189 guests
Dates: Weeks 1-8 (June 23-Aug. 15; closed July 4)
Locations: Between Seattle, the Stroum Jewish Community Center, and Luther Burbank Park + Mercer Island Community and Event Center
Hours: โฏApproximately 8 amโ4:30 pm, MondayโFriday; exact bus stop times will be shared with registered families
Description: Seattle families, register for bus transportation to make getting to and from camp easier! The J Camp bus will pick campers up in the morning, drive them to Mercer Island, and bring them back in the afternoon. The bus will make stops in North Seattle, Capitol Hill, and Mt. Baker; email camp@sjcc.org for exact locations.
Katan Swim Lessons @ the Jย
Grades: Pre-K โ Kindergarten (must be registered for Katan @ the J)*
Cost:โฏ$120 members | $160 guests
Dates: Weeks 1-9 (June 23-Aug. 22)
Locations: Stroum Jewish Community Center
Hours: โฏDuring the camp day, Monday โ Thursday
Description: J Camp is excited to offer swim lessons during the camp day for campers registered for Katan at the J. Campers will visit the pool with their Katan group for a mix of learning and free play. Campers will be separated into groups based on skill level and work on relevant goals, like putting their face in the water or breaststroke. Learn more about our swim levels here >>
*Unfortunately, due to logistical constraints, campers registered at our Luther Burbank and Green Lake locations are not eligible for these swim lessons.
NEW! Kehillah + Kef Swim Lessons @ the Jย
Grades: 1st โ 6th (must be registered for Kehillah or Kef @ the J)*

Description: New this summer, J Camp is excited to offer swim lessons exclusively for Kef and Kehillah campers at the J. ย After-Camp Swim Lessonsย
Grades: Pre-K+
Cost:โฏ$120 members | $160 guests
Dates: Weeks 1-9 (June 23-Aug. 22)
Locations: Stroum Jewish Community Center
Hours: 3:50โ6:40 pm (30-min. increments), Monday โ Thursday
Description: The SJCC is proud to offer group swim lessons for those new to swimming and swimmers wanting to increase their endurance and technique. Make a splash with our experienced instructors! Learn more about our swim levels here >>.
Campers registered for lessons at 3:50 pm and 4:25 pm will be taken to the pool by J Camp staff. Campers registered for lessons after 4:25 pm and extended care will also be taken to their lesson.
Campers can be picked up on the pool deck at 3:45 pm or will be taken to extended care if they are registered.
*Campers in Katan or Kef @ Luther Burbank will be shuttled to the J.
Teen Memberships
Ages: 13+
Cost:โฏ$62/month with no join fee for J Camp campers
Location: Stroum Jewish Community Center
Description: Teens can have their own SJCC membership, with access to everything at the J: work out in the Fitness Center, swim laps in the pool, and take great group exercise classes like Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, Power Hour, Boot Camp, and more! Before and after the camp day, teens with their own membership or on a family membership can use the SJCC facilities without an adult present. Registration
Follow these steps to sign up for Summer J Camp, extended care, transportation, and Katan and Kef swim lessons. If you have any questions contact Beth Rosen at BethR@sjcc.org.
Refund Policy
If your plans change, you must submit a refund request in writing to Beth Rosen. If you cancel on or before May 1, 2025, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee per week.โฏIf you cancel between May 2 and June 2, 2025, you will receive a 50% refund minus a $50 administrative fee.โฏFrom June 3, 2025, until the end of camp, camp fees are non-refundable. This ensures we can purchase supplies and hire necessary staff in preparation for camp.
If the J cancels a camp for any reason, you will receive a credit or a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds if campers are ill, quarantining, unable to attend camp, or feel the camp experience did not meet their expectations.
Work at J Camp
Are you 15 or older and looking for a summer job? We are looking for dedicated counselors and specialists eager to make a difference in the lives of our campers at Summer J Camp. Counselors work with kids ranging in age from pre-K to 10th grade. Whether you love sports, theater, cooking, science, or just having fun, youโll love spending your summer working at the J! Pay starts at $18/hour.
