Music + Memories: A Jewish Violin Concert
Join us for a meaningful and engaging musical experience that brings history, culture and community together through the power of live performance.
This approximately one-hour program will feature a thoughtful blend of music and storytelling, including interactive sing-along songs for all ages and brief commentary between pieces that offer historical context and deeper insight into the music. The repertoire will include selections that reflect the Holocaust experience alongside works that celebrate the richness, resilience and diversity of Jewish culture, highlighting its many voices and traditions.
Designed to be both educational and uplifting, this program invites audiences of all generations to connect through shared stories, reflection and song.
Light refreshments will be served prior to the concert.

American violinist Ilana Zaks-Nederlander has been described as โfearless, refreshing and commandingโ (Boston Music Intelligencer) and โcaptivating and delightfulโ (Worcester Telegram). Known for her dynamic artistry and commitment to musical storytelling, she has performed as a soloist and orchestral member with major ensembles across the United States and Europe.
This event and all other SJCC community events and programs are open to both SJCC members and guests of all faiths and backgrounds.
