It was an active Sunday at the J last weekend. From our Gaga Israeli Dance-Fitness class to our Sunday Urban Hike and our everyday #SundayFun (pickleball, pick-up hoops, fitness classes and more), we were having a blast staying active, together!
Advancing Mental Health at Summer J Camp
What do spending an afternoon with dogs and playing with giant soccer balls have in common? For Summer J Camp’s newest staff member Lisa Williams, they’re both opportunities for mental health awareness. Thanks to a grant from Foundation for Jewish Camp, Lisa will collaborate with the J Camp team to create activities, games, and offer support to enhance the mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health (MESSH) of our camp community this summer. "The younger we teach these skills to kids, the better we set them up for a lifetime of success around mental health awareness," she said. "And it can all start at a random day at summer camp."

Truck Day 2023
The beloved SJCC Early Childhood School Truck Day returned to the J's parking lot on Thursday, May 11. Students of our Early Childhood School and friends from the community were given a hands-on day to explore trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
