Mosaic Series – Judaic Coasters

February 24 • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$140 – $160

Join Mosaic Artist Sandy Glass at the SJCC for a one-of-a-kind Judaica-inspired art series! This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone—no prior experience necessary. Over four creative Tuesdays, you’ll design and craft a set of four glass tile mosaic coasters, each colorfully customized to your taste and artful spirit. All materials are provided, including glass tiles in a variety of colors, plexiglass bases, grout, and an attractive coaster holder to complete your set. You’ll also have the opportunity to create a few wine glass charms so you’ll be ready to celebrate your next mitzvah.

Create a complete set of four glass mosaic coasters to take home. All materials and expert instruction included!

In the workshop series, you will:
– Learn to create your own pattern or color scheme, and develop a template to keep your coaster set consistent.
– Select from assorted tile colors and sizes to design your four coasters.
– Discover easy techniques like tile tape transfers to bring your design onto the plexiglass base.
– Adhere tiles, apply grout, and finish with a polished presentation

On the final session, enjoy the satisfaction of grouting your set and taking your creation home—the perfect addition to your Shabbat table, a special gift, or a sparkling accent for your home.
