Dinner at Our House

Volunteer with the J! Join us in the SJCC kitchen to prepare dinner for teen residents at a YouthCare home. The J will provide all the groceries, supplies, and instructions to make a delicious meal for 25 people — we just need you to help with the cooking!

All ages are welcome, and each child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If you sign up, you MUST show up!

YouthCare’s housing programs help young people experiencing homelessness reunify with their families, find safe and stable long-term housing, pursue education and employment opportunities, and build independent living skills.

Traffic Alert – I-90 Ramp Closures
I-90 Eastbound On-Ramp at East Mercer Way to Close Sept. 18
Heads up! Beginning Thursday, Sept. 18, WSDOT will close the I-90 Eastbound on-ramp at East Mercer Way (next to the J) for 6–8 days. The HOV on-ramp at 80th Ave SE will remain closed through Oct. 5, and one eastbound lane on I-90 will also be shut down—expect major delays. Please allow extra time getting to and from the J and use detour routes via Island Crest Way.
