Founded in 1995 by AJC Seattle, SJFF is now a program of The Stroum Jewish Community Center. SJFF is a partner to the J’s community-building mission and a cornerstone of its renewed cultural arts program.

SJFF attendees cast their ballots for the festival’s Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature and Best Short Film, and the festival awards our REEL Difference Award designed by Seattle glass artist Roger Nachman Glassworks to a distinguished filmmaker or producer. Past recipients include: Academy Award nominated director, Michael Verhoeven, filmmaker Eran Riklis, and Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures.
