The J offers Mahjong Mondays, a drop-in program, as well as a series of beginner instructional classes.

Mahjong Mondays

Join us every Monday for mahjong! Drop in every Monday from 6-8:30 pm (some exceptions; see below for full schedule and holiday exceptions) for casual play and socializing. The J will provide sets and cards, but feel free to bring your own. All skill levels are welcome, but please note this is not an instructional class.

Beginner Mahjong Classes

Learn how to play mahjong, the popular tile-based game that takes Jewish households by storm. Local mahjong maven Denise Weinstein leads this beginner class, which includes time for guided free play after class to practice your new skills. You’ll be ready to join our bi-monthly, drop-in mahjong group in no time. Registration is required and space is limited.
