Purchase In-Person
- Advance Walkup Sales: The SJCC does not have an on-site Box Office except before show times.
- Day-of-Show Walkup Sales: Box Office generally opens 30 minutes before the published showtime (sometimes earlier for special events—check listings). Walkups are welcome as long as tickets are available. Box Office closed 30 minutes after a show starts.
Payment Types
SJCC Box Office accepts cash and credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa).
Taxes + Fees
A ticket processing fee of $1.65 will be added to each ticket purchase upon checkout, plus an additional $2 facility fee for in-person + virtual events. Fees apply to all sales, including online, cash, and walkup sales. For concession or additional book sales, Washington state sales and/or alcohol sales tax may also apply. For book orders, media mail shipping may be available at an additional cost per item.
Discount Pricing
Discount pricing, when available, applies for seniors 65+, students with ID, and youth under 13. No group discounts.
Ticket Delivery Options
- In-Person Events: Online ticket purchasers have the option to select either print-at-home or mobile tickets. Emailed purchase confirmation receipts include a link to print bar-coded tickets or to view mobile ticket QR codes. Please print tickets in advance and have QR codes readily available on your mobile device before arriving to avoid delays. Bar codes and QR codes must be readable for scanning. If you forget or can’t find your tickets, go to the Box Office line for assistance.
- Book Orders: Book purchasers must pick up books in-person at the event, unless the additional media mail shipping fee has been added. If you are unable to attend the event, please coordinate pickup at the SJCC by emailing boxoffice@sjcc.org. Books must be picked up within 30 days of the event.
- Livestreaming/Virtual Events: Online purchasers receive a virtual ticket with their confirmation receipt. One (1) hour prior to the program, purchasers will receive an email with a link to log on to the livestream or register for the virtual program. This reminder comes from our ticketing system. Check your junk mail for AudienceView or ovationtix.com. Once registered, you will receive another email with the access link. In some cases, the Box Office will pre-register ticketed patrons who will receive this reminder directly from the online platform. Virtual access links and virtual recordings are for ticketed patrons only; please do not share. If you have not received an access link, please contact the Box Office via email to provide or resend.
Sold Out + Standby Shows
- We will do our best to notify you on the website and at the door if shows are sold out or on standby. Please check your event on the SJCC Arts + Ideas webpage and click on “more info” for availability.
- If the website says “standby,” remaining tickets will be released on a first-come basis to walkups in the standby line.
- If the website says “sold out,” please do not call or come to the venue. For sold-out shows, there are no waitlists or standby lines at the door.
Seating
- Most programs are general admission, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. See an usher if you need assistance with accessible seating or finding a seat. Row AA is reserved for accessible/wheelchair seating, as well as any seats marked “reserved.”
- Some general admission shows are club style: standing-room only with limited seating. Please observe signs for available and unavailable seating and standing areas.
- Select shows are reserved seating.
- Patrons needing special assistance, additional entry time, or accessible seating can choose accordingly or indicate those needs upon purchase and will generally be invited to enter first.
Late Arrival
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the staff, ushers, and/or management at an appropriate break in the show and will likely be seated in the designated late-seating area to avoid disruption. Latecomers are not guaranteed reserved, assigned, adjacent, or saved seats. Late seating is allowed up to 15 minutes after a show starts. On occasion, late seating will not be possible.
Event Change Notification
- In the case of a program postponement/rescheduling, ticketholders will be notified via email and tickets will automatically transfer to the new date once announced.
- In the case of program cancellation, ticketholders will be notified via email of their options, such as donating the face value of their ticket or receiving a system credit for a future show. Ticket face value does not include any collected taxes or fees paid by the customer upon purchase.
Venue Details
- SJCC Arts + Ideas programs, unless otherwise specified, take place at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island (hours + directions).

Accessibility
- The SJCC auditorium is ADA compliant, and our seating system is hearing loop (t-coil hearing aid direct) outfitted. Please ask your provider how to use/program the t-coil setting on your device. For film screenings, generally only foreign-language films are fully captioned with subtitles. Check event descriptions for details on availability. For livestreaming and virtual programs, patrons can turn on AI captioning apps.
