The US Supreme Court’s recent ruling goes against so many things we believe in: the Jewish imperative to preserve life, including the life of a pregnant person, equality, freedom, and the right to make decisions about one’s own body. As a community that cares deeply about one another and the world, let’s be thankful for states like Washington that uphold our values and choices, and let’s show a bit of extra compassion to one another as we all process these recent events.
