SJCC Pomegranate Legacy Society

Legacy gifts have a profound impact on the long-term sustainability and financial well-being of the Stroum Jewish Community Center. By joining the Pomegranate Legacy Society, members make generous planned giftsโ€”through their wills, estate plans, or retirement accountsโ€”that plant seeds for a fruitful future for the J.

For many, this forward-thinking philanthropy enables a meaningful, lasting contribution that might otherwise be out of reach. To honor this remarkable generosity, Pomegranate Legacy Society members receive:

  • A pomegranate mezuzah to commemorate your legacy commitment to the SJCC
  • Recognition in the SJCC Impact Report and other publications as a Legacy Society member
  • An invitation to an exclusive annual event just for Pomegranate Legacy Society members

How to Make a Planned Gift

Bequests: Bequests are one of the easiest ways for donors to make a significant contribution toward helping the SJCC fulfill its goals. Bequests allow donors to designate future assets to the SJCC in their wills. Donors may include the SJCC in their estate plan by specifying a dollar amount or a percentage of their estate’s assets to be transferred to the SJCC.

Retirement Plans: Another easy option for donors is to designate the SJCC as a beneficiary of their IRA or other retirement plan. This option may allow donors to reduce both income and estate taxes, usually does not require a lawyer, and can typically be done in a matter of minutes.

Life Insurance Policy: This is a relatively simple and inexpensive way for donors to provide for future generations by naming the SJCC as a beneficiary to a life insurance policy or by donating an unneeded policy.

The SJCC Pomegranate Legacy Society consists of individuals who have thoughtfully included the SJCC in their estate plan through a legacy gift. Thank you to these members for their ongoing commitment to enriching lives, building community, and for seeding a prosperous and fruitful future for the J.
