Whether you’re packing birthday bags for children experiencing homelessness\, cooking meals for teens facing housing insecurity\, providing companionship and support to individuals with disabilities or elderly adults\, or participating in environmental projects\, your service will truly make a difference. \nService Site Descriptions \nFriendship Circle\nHelping children\, teens\, and young adults with disabilities through inclusive programming and activities. \nKline Galland – The Summit (Senior Living)\nSpend quality time with residents in downtown Seattle\, providing companionship\, conversation\, and support. \nCooking for YouthCare\nHelp prepare a full meal for 40 teens and young adults experiencing homelessness.\nCooking experience preferred — come excited to cook! \nBirthday Dreams\nCreate party hats\, goodie bags\, and bracelet crafts for children’s birthday celebrations.\nBirthday Dreams is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope\, joy\, and a sense of self-worth to children experiencing homelessness through the gift of a birthday party. \nSJCC Environmental Community Restoration\nHelp preserve and beautify meaningful community spaces across the SJCC campus\, including the outdoor Holocaust Memorial\, Kesher Garden\, and other shared gathering areas. DESCRIPTION:Parent Education Series designed to strengthen family partnerships (currently enrolled and community) and deepen understanding of early childhood learning and development through a Reggio-inspired approach. \nThe virtual series will include several themed sessions led by members of the leadership team\, each addressing an area families frequently ask about and that directly supports our school philosophy: \nMar. 26 – Toilet Learning – Sharing respectful\, developmentally appropriate strategies that emphasize independence\, body awareness\, and collaboration between home and school. \nMay 20 – The Power of Play – Highlighting how play supports every area of development—social\, emotional\, cognitive\, and academic—and how it lays the foundation for lifelong learning. \nThe goal of this series is to empower parents with knowledge and confidence\, strengthen the partnership between home and school\, and communicate how the Reggio philosophy supports both academic readiness and whole-child development.
