Counselor in Training (CIT) Program

Explore leadership and philanthropy (tzedakah) through hands-on project management experiences in this new and rejuvenated program for 9th and 10th graders. You’ll learn how to how to be a camp counselor at the SJCC while fine-tuning your leadership skills with emphasis on group dynamics, curriculum creation, project management, and problem-solving. In this two-week training program, you will work as a counselor’s assistant and learn how to facilitate a group of kids with confidence, work with a team, and create a program and bring it to fruition.  We’ll provide daily check-ins, guidance, guest speakers, interview training, and final project opportunities. The CIT Program is available in two sessions—sign up for one or both and join this amazing cohort of future leaders for a life-changing summer experience!

Weeks: 3 + 4; 7 + 8 (two-week camp)
Grades: 9th-10th
