Full Film Details:
In this charming cannabis comedy from Israel, perfect for “green” Seattle, Dov, a cranky widower, is forced by his family to move into a luxurious nursing home—where he feels like he’s in jail. All he can think about is getting out, buying back his old rustic cottage, and living there until the end of his life, but he can’t afford it. When he notices that all his fellow residents are smoking legal, medical marijuana (recreational use is still illegal in Israel), he realizes that weed could be his salvation—selling it, not smoking it. When love, cops, and local gangsters enter the picture, Dov finds himself at a crossroads: will he risk everything to make his dream come true? This black comedy features a terrific cast, including Shlomo Bar-Aba (FOOTNOTE), Dov Glickman (”Shtisel”), and Joy Rieger (PAST LIFE, THE OTHER STORY), and was nominated for 12 Israeli Academy Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Lead Actor.
