We’ll start from the basics and use our skills to create something you can use everyday. We also work with metal materials and learn the art of metal tooling. It is a centuries-old art in which a soft metal is worked with a rounded tool on the back side in order to create a raised design on the front. Mexican and South American artists call this art form repoussé or embossing. Discover your creative side as we design useful works of art in this new and exciting camp!

We will incorporate the scratch and attach method for this project as we design faces on our cups.

Learning about new cultures and clay techniques one project at a time. Join as discover art from around the world, dress for mess!

Projects will be glazed and kiln-fired and available for pick up on site at the JCC two weeks after camp has concluded.
