SUMMARY:School's Out J Camp: Spring Break
DESCRIPTION:From holidays to conference days\, we provide the Summer J Camp experience all year long. Parents enjoy uninterrupted routines while kids enjoy special activities\, games\, crafts and swimming. \n \nRegistration will close one week prior to the start of each camp.  \n2026-2027 Dates + Details \nAges: K – 5th grade\nCamp Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, plus optional extended care until 6 p.m.\nThe late pick-up charge is $1 per minute per camper after camp ends.\nDaily Rates: \n\nCore Camp: $89 members | $98 guests\nExtended Care: $20 members | $22 guests\n\nAdd-Ons \n\nExtended Care: After the camp day\, kids can stay as late as 6 pm to enjoy more fun in a safe and welcoming environment. Campers will be given a snack and can choose between active or calm self-led activities. Extended care is free kids registered for Kidstown on the days they typically attend.

DESCRIPTION:For Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance)\, join author Elaine Culbertson for a virtual presentation and intimate book-club-style conversation about her gorgeous memoir\, “Mamaleh.” Reading in advance recommended but not necessary. \nIn “Mamaleh: A Lega­cy of Loss and Love\,” Cul­bert­son has cre­at­ed a new kind of Holo­caust sur­vivor sto­ry—a mem­oir that com­bines both her moth­er\, Dora Freilich’s per­son­al rec­ol­lec­tions of her life as a sur­vivor\, intertwined with her daughter’s reflec­tions on grow­ing up in a fam­i­ly that had expe­ri­enced the trau­ma of the Holo­caust. \nDora’s survival after two full years in Auschwitz was indeed a mir­a­cle\, and her beau­ti­ful­ly written mem­o­ries of that time and ensuing life built in America were her hus­band are too. DESCRIPTION:“‘Ketubah Renaissance is a gorgeous testament to the creative\, aesthetic\, and spiritual health of Jewish life in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century” – Anita Diamont \nIlluminating the contemporary revival and novel designs of the Jewish marriage contract\, Michael Shapiro’s exhibit and book “Ketubah Renaissance: The Artful Revival of the Jewish Marriage Contract” is a brilliant and beautiful showcase of the most innovative\, contemporary and artfully illustrated modern Jewish marriage documents. \nShapiro is the founder and CEO of ketubah.com\, an enthusiastic and inspiring guide through the history of the ketubah. As scholar Shalom Sabar notes\, the earliest illustrated marriage contract was produced in Austria in 1391. Sparked by the Spanish Expulsion\, the custom of decorative text spread across Europe with Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews carrying on the practice even after they fell out of popular favor. \nBecause beautifying ketubot is in line with the Jewish concept of “hiddur mitzvah\,” the principle that a joyous commandment requires a physical object for its performance.
