Must be 21+ to attend. \nThese meaningful art workshops are part of our Create + Connect Series modeled on the Jewish Studio Process\, an innovative approach that combines art-making\, Jewish learning\, and community building. In this series\, we’ll process\, play\, connect and tap into the hope and possibility that creativity offers. \nOur Create + Connect events run the first Wednesday evening of each month\, 7- 9 pm\, November – June.

Parents enjoy uninterrupted routines while kids enjoy special activities\, games\, crafts and swimming. \n \nRegistration will close one week prior to the start of each camp.  \n2026-2027 Dates + Details \nAges: K – 5th grade\nCamp Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, plus optional extended care until 6 p.m.\nThe late pick-up charge is $1 per minute per camper after camp ends.\nDaily Rates: \n\nCore Camp: $89 members | $98 guests\nExtended Care: $20 members | $22 guests\n\nAdd-Ons \n\nExtended Care: After the camp day\, kids can stay as late as 6 pm to enjoy more fun in a safe and welcoming environment. Campers will be given a snack and can choose between active or calm self-led activities. Extended care is free kids registered for Kidstown on the days they typically attend.

DESCRIPTION:“‘Ketubah Renaissance is a gorgeous testament to the creative\, aesthetic\, and spiritual health of Jewish life in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century” – Anita Diamont \nIlluminating the contemporary revival and novel designs of the Jewish marriage contract\, Michael Shapiro’s exhibit and book “Ketubah Renaissance: The Artful Revival of the Jewish Marriage Contract” is a brilliant and beautiful showcase of the most innovative\, contemporary and artfully illustrated modern Jewish marriage documents. \nShapiro is the founder and CEO of ketubah.com\, an enthusiastic and inspiring guide through the history of the ketubah. As scholar Shalom Sabar notes\, the earliest illustrated marriage contract was produced in Austria in 1391. DESCRIPTION:Law professor and “Jewish Journal” columnist Roberta Kwall’s “Polarized” (named a top ten read by “Publisher’s Weekly”) offers a multidisciplinary examination of major divides within the American Jewish community prior to\, and in the wake of\, the Israel-Hamas war\, and lays out a blueprint for how American Jewry can develop a much-needed\, vocal center capable of productive discourse despite areas of disagreement. \nPolarization has long been a pressing problem facing the American Jewish community to the extent that American Jews are among the most divided communities in the United States\, a fracture that has deepened dramatically in the wake of the October 7th terrorist attacks against Israel and the ensuing Israel-Hamas war. \nDrawing on insights from law\, sociology\, psychology\, history and Jewish tradition\, Kwall examines how these divisions developed\, how they reflect and differ from polarization in our broader society\, and\, most importantly\, how and why polarization poses an existential threat to American Jewish communal life and how generation gaps and campus culture have intensified these conflicts. \nFortunately\, Kwall offers a path forward for rebuilding a strong American Jewish center capable of sustaining disagreement without fragmentation. Please invite your friends or anyone that you think would enjoy being a part of this community at the SJCC. \nIf you feel so inclined to bring a store-bought snack to share\, please do so!
