The speakers with share tools to support personal reflection, strategies to engage in meaningful conversation, and action to fight bias.

Curiosity and Questions: Engaging in Difficult Conversations | July 22nd | 4-5 pm PST
People often want to discuss news stories and other timely societal events, however, sometimes the events seem particularly complex and emotional. We believe that current issues provide a great opportunity to engage others in rich conversation, share important values, encourage deeper understanding of the news, and disrupt bias and prejudice. We will provide tools and strategies for engaging in these complex conversations.

Activism: What Can YOU Do? | July 29th | 4-5 pm PST
Our country has a long history of activism that has brought significant social change. Young people are powerful change agents, bringing the desire, energy, and idealism to do something about the injustice they see in the world. Through historical and contemporary examples, participants will learn about and reflect on 6 different tools to engage in activism. This session is guaranteed to have participants feeling inspired and empowered to take action, address injustices, and create a more equitable world.
