Virtual SJCC: Meditation for Parents of Teens During Times of Uncertainty

April 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

During this challenging time of COVID-19 where we cannot connect in person, the Stroum JCC wants to provide a virtual space for parents of teenagers to come together to decompress from family stresses and  to feel more connected to themselves and learn how to deal with stressful situations. Parents can participate to the extent they feel comfortable. No one has to share anything they don’t want to.

About the Instructor:
Blair Carleton is a Mindfulness Instructor, Recovery Coach, and, most important, a mother of three.  She teaches at the University of Washington Center for Child and Family Well-Being, and is on the faculty of Recovery Café.  She also teaches in schools, prisons, work release programs, and for The Benji Project, a Port Townsend non-profit.  In addition to her private practice, she leads courses, training workshops and retreats on mindfulness/meditation, self-compassion, shame resilience, among many other topics.

Blair received her Teacher Training from the University of California San Diego’s Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, her Recovery Coach training through the State of Washington, and her BA from Yale University.   You can see more on her website.
