More on VALIANT HEARTS (Coeurs vaillants)

Mona Achache | Narrative Drama | France | 2021 | French w/English subtitles | 92m | PG

Bristling with suspense and moving in equal measures, VALIANT HEARTS tells a true story of exceptional bravery and survival against all odds. In August 1942, six Jewish children find refuge where no one would think to look for them: in the magnificent Loire Valley’s Château de Chambord, along with hundreds of priceless artworks from the Louvre Museum. They are aided by a museum conservator (played by acclaimed French actress Camille Cottin of CALL MY AGENT and HOUSE OF GUCCI), a member of the Resistance who is documenting the theft of artwork by Nazi officers. Through tears and laughter, the children grapple with unimaginable circumstances while learning about friendship, solidarity, bravery, and doing what’s right. For a valiant heart, nothing is impossible. Their odyssey brings history alive for viewers, both young and old.
