SJCC Book Club

Join us for the SJCC Book Club, a space for thoughtful reading, meaningful discussion, and connections across our SJCC community.

Our May Book Club pick, in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month, is Heart of a Stranger: An Unlikely Rabbi’s Story of Faith, Identity, and Belonging by Angela Buchdahl—a powerful memoir exploring her journey as the first Asian American ordained rabbi and cantor, and her search for identity, belonging, and what it means to be Jewish in America.

Please note: Participants will need to purchase their own copy of the book. We recommend finishing the book before our meeting so you can fully join the discussion!
