Lifeguard Certification Course – July

This class will certify participants in Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid as well as AED through the American Red Cross. Participants must attend all classes as well as pass a final written and skills test.

Lifeguarding is often an exciting and rewarding job, and it’s no wonder: working as a lifeguard builds confidence, responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and communication skills – all things that will help you for years to come.

Get started by taking the SJCC’s Lifeguard Certification course and begin working at the J pool when you successfully complete the training. Lifeguard pay starts at $17 per hour.

No prior experience is necessary; participants will gain all required skills and knowledge in the class.

Fee to register is $250 but will be waived for those taking the class intending to work at the J upon completion.

Saturday, July 22 | 8:30 am – 5 pm
Sunday, June 23 | 8:30 am – 5 pm

Class Prerequisites – Approx. four hours of online study through the American Red Cross must be completed prior to the first day of class.
