Join us for an all-ages dance party! GRAMMY-winning kindie rockstar Joanie Leeds headlines this family concert with her kid-power folk, rock, and blues songs. She’s joined by Seattle songwriter and musician Chava Mirel (who cowrote a song and is featured on Leeds’ GRAMMY-winning album) and The Kathy Moore Super Power Trio. 

Aiming to inspire young girls and people of all ages and gender identities, Joanie Leeds’ music celebrates influential women of yesterday and today, such as Harriet Tubman, Amelia Earhart, Malala Yousafzai, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Part of the SeaJAM Signature Series, sponsored by Samis Foundation. Best for ages 2-10.

About the Artists

About Joanie Leeds: GRAMMY Award-winning, NYC-based singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds is a national touring artist, early childhood Jewish music educator, and host of the JKids Radio show, “Holiday Hang.” She has won first place in the USA Songwriting Competition, an Independent Music Award, a Gold Parents’ Choice Award, NAPPA Gold Award, Family Choice Award, and is a John Lennon Songwriting Award finalist and an International Songwriting Competition finalist. Joanie has played at Lollapalooza, Clearwater Festival, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Wolf Trap, and Levitt Pavilion, as well as JCCs and synagogues nationwide. Her music has been featured in “The New York Times,” “People Magazine,” “Parents Magazine,” “Billboard” and “The Washington Post.” Joanie’s ninth children’s album, “All the Ladies,” is a female empowerment folk collection and earned a GRAMMY Award in 2021, and called “music that helps kids get in touch with their true selves.”  Learn more >>

About The Kathy Moore Super Power Trio: Comprised of mad scientist Kathy Moore on guitar, steady-yet-nimble bassist Alyssa Martini, and thunderous drummer Faith Stankevich, this Seattle girl-power band delivers sonic rock ‘n’ roll entertainment.
