July Urban Hike

Join fitness favorite Susie Rosenstein for a series of Urban Hikes in the Seattle area. We meet once a month on Sunday at 10 am to explore new (and familiar) hikes in our own backyard. Weโ€™ll hike rain or shine, so donโ€™t forget to pack a rain jacket!

Date: Sunday, July 20th
Time: 10:00am
Meeting Place: Lake Boren Park parking lot (13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle, WA 98056). Letโ€™s meet near the bathrooms.

Length/Difficulty: The walk is a little less than 4 miles. There are several hills and we are often walking on narrow forest trails (rocks and roots). This is a more difficult walk than our average.

Route Description: We start by walk southwest out of Lake Boren Park to May Creek Park. The trail meanders through a quiet, forested area including down to May Creek. After leaving May Creek Park, we walk east through a green belt area. Eventually, we meet up with a quiet country road and return to Lake Boren Park. Walking surfaces include dirt, gravel and pavement.
