Event Series Event Series: Influential Jewish Playwrights

Influential Jewish Playwrights

January 30 • 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Virtual Event Virtual Event
$12 – $24

What comes first, being a playwright or a Jew? In this three-part virtual lecture series, presented by the Miles Nadal JCC in Toronto, theater critic Lynn Slotkin explores the work of influential European, American, and Canadian playwrights.

Is there a distinction between being a Jewish playwright and a playwright who is Jewish? Or are they entwined? Is it obvious in the work? Is there such a thing as a Jewish theatrical sensibility?

Presented by the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre in partnership with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company.
