Shavuot Cheesecake Making Class 

Decadent + delicious classic and flavored cheesecakes for the holiday, taught by Rachel Almaleh.

Celebrate Shavuot, that delightful and dairy-delicious holiday, with classic and flavored cheesecakes. We’ll talk about why it’s a tradition to eat dairy on this holiday while prepping a cheesecake to eat afterwards and/or take home. Join us for this hands-on, all-levels class taught by chef Rachel Almaleh, author of the cookbook, “A Legacy of Sephardic, Mediterranean, and American Recipes.”

POSTPONED – Unexpected “Kraut-Pleaser” Cooking Class

Firefly Kitchens teaches the art + science of probiotic vegetable fermenting.

This class has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

Seattle’s Firefly Kitchen teaches the old-fashioned way to make kraut and fermented vegetables, retaining their health-boosting probiotic power and tasty tang. Co-founder Julie O’Brien shows us three surprising recipes from her cookbook Fresh and Fermented: a main course, fruit smoothies, and even dessert. Fermenting jars provided (or bring your own). Cookbook sales and signing.
