Noa in Concert: “Letters to Bach”

The soaring vocal artistry of Israel’s leading international singer and longtime collaborator Gil Dor return with a new album produced by Quincy Jones. Sponsored by Paul and Yaffa Maritz.

Israel’s leading international singer returns to Seattle to perform “Letters to Bach,” her latest musical project and 11th studio album with longtime collaborator, guitarist Gil Dor and produced by Quincy Jones. Comprised of 12 pieces of instrumental music written by Johann Sebastian Bach with lyrics in Hebrew and English written by Noa. The duo will also perform selections of their repertoire in Hebrew, English, and Yemenite, accompanied by Noa’s percussion playing. CDs for sale and signing. VIP tickets include pre-show reception, photos with the artist, and best-of-house reserved seating.

VIP Reception begins at 7 pm. Show time is 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm with happy hour in J Cafe.

Beyond the Pale: Klezmer Fusion

Music: contemporary klezmer, Balkan beats, bluegrass + reggae.

Toronto’s Beyond the Pale has generated boundary-busting Eurofolk fusion inspired by Klezmer and Balkan styles and influenced by jazz, classical music, bluegrass, newgrass, and reggae. The acoustic ensemble deliberates 20 years of adventurous compositions that traverse vast and exotic musical landscapes. Happy hour begins at 7 pm with show beginning at 7:30 pm.

Ifat Orgad Productions and Stroum Jewish Community Center present one of Israel’s most influential rock artists performs songs from his three solo albums and shares songs and stories behind his milestone recordings, from the legendary band “Natasha’s Friends”; to hits written for other artists, such as “Mi Ohev Otach Yoter Mimeni (Who Loves You More Than I Do),” “Al Kav Hazinuk (On the Starting Line) and more. Micha is joined by Ron Bunker on guitar.
