Join us for Chinese food and a movie as we watch ABE. Abe, a twelve-year-old boy played by Noah Schnapp (STRANGER THINGS) from Brooklyn, cooks to unite his half-Israeli and half-Palestinian family. A coming-of-age story where food heals and brings people together. Chinese food dinner included with tickets purchased before Dec. 17; after that film only tickets available. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

“Eight Nights” – A Staged Reading

The stories of 8 immigrant/refugee families who inhabit the same apartment from 1949-2016.

This powerful new play by award-winning LA playwright Jennifer Maisel explores intergenerational trauma and healing over eight decades of Hanukkah celebrations, from post-WWII to today. Performed by Book-It Repertory Theatre.  A portion of ticket proceeds and any collected donations will benefit Jewish Family Service’s Refugee & Immigrant Services program.

This Hanukkah, burn bright with us for a double-bill featuring Elana Jagoda and Chava Mirel – two nationally touring singers, guitarists, composers, prayer leaders, and recording artists. Plus: games, latkes, and activities for kids of all ages!

This Hanukkah, burn bright with us for a double-bill featuring Elana Jagoda and Chava Mirel – two nationally touring singers, guitarists, composers, prayer leaders, and recording artists. Plus: games, latkes, and activities for kids of all ages!

Elana Jagoda, a cantorial soloist with Temple Beth El in the Bay Area, is best know for her PJ Library released solo albums, “Zum Gali Gali” and “Uri Uri.” Her creative fusions of musical styles elegantly speak to and ignite both kids and adults alike. She teams up with Seattle’s own Chava Mirel and her Trio.

Known for her rich, luxurious vocals, lush harmonies and rhythmic phrasing, Chava’s electrifying concerts connect communities as does her inclusive message of love and compassion. Chava recently released her 3rd full length album, “Into The Light.” Together, they present a magical Hanukkah repertoire.
