Kesher Community Garden

Our mission is to cultivate community by blending human values and education with the Earth’s natural life cycle through cooperative organic gardening and stewardship.

The Kesher Community Garden features garden patches for community members to rent, a beehive that keeps the garden abuzz with helpful pollinators, and a young orchard that produced its first harvest in fall 2013. Several local restaurateurs also rent patches and grow fresh vegetables for their restaurants.

Our garden is also a great place to get an education. We have learning beds where kids in our Early Childhood School and summer camps can get their hands dirty and explore the natural world. We also host lectures about organic practices, gardening, composting, and more.

The garden is also a great place to sit and relax. Enjoy a few moments of quiet and sunshine on the benches and chairs, or wander the paths and enjoy our gardeners’ green thumbs. You can also rent the garden for your next meeting or event.

At this time, we do not have any garden plots available to rent. For more information, contact Senior Director, SJCC Experience, Dana Weiner.
