Spend the Summer in Art Camp!

pARTy in the USA

June 26-30
Grades 2-4

Are you ready for an epic road trip?  Well, grab your favorite snacks and hop aboard as we cruise around the United States. We’ll take detours along the way, stopping at historical and quirky locations to inspire our art. We will learn about lighthouses that dot the coastline of Maine and study southwestern patterns as we zip through New Mexico. We might even dip our toes in the sandy shores of the Pacific Ocean as we follow our map of unique and exciting destinations on this artful road trip!

Minecraft

July 3-7
Grades 4-6

Think Minecraft is just a video game? Think again. Create, explore, and put your problem-solving skills to the test by building an adventure map and resource packs at this exciting week of tech-focused camp. Take control of your world with command blocks and redstone. Many schools – even universities – are adopting the Minecraft platform to help with reading writing, math, and science. So our campers will learn valuable skills while having a blast!  We will combine our tech time with supervised outside play, pool time, sports, and “techtivities.”

Art of Israel

July 3-7
Grades 2-4

Let’s study the nation of Israel! Using various mediums such as painting, batik, and mosaics, we will create hamsas, mezuzahs, challah covers, and a giant mural of the country. On our final day, we will spend time learning to make our favorite dishes and enjoy a bite of Israel.

Forecast is Art

July 10-14
Grades 2-4

The wind will blow, the earth will shake, and creativity will explode while we study weather phenomenons around the world. We’ll learn about tsunamis while using fun collage materials, release our inner Jackson Pollack as we bring a splatter paint volcano to life, and more. It’s sure to be a heat wave of fun as we take a look at the awe-inspiring power of mother nature!

Castles and Dragons

July 17-21
Grades 2-4

Take a fantastic trip to a magical realm of knights, castles, dragons, wizards, kings, and queens. In this camp we’ll make maps, build scale models of castles, and sculpt our very own pet dragons!

Washington All-Stars

July 24-28
Grades 2-4

Break out your foam finger and your 12th man jersey while we celebrate our home state sport stars! Get ready to cheer on the Sounders while we learn how to draw a soccer ball. We’ll root for the Mariners as we collage a multimedia piece of art, and don’t forget to yell for the Seahawks when painting a special hawk with some of our favorite colors: blue, green and silver. Sports fanatics, come and check out this artistic week all about your favorite teams.

Mastering Manga

July 31-August 4
Grades 2-4

Do you love manga, anime, or Pokemon characters? Well, this is the week for you! Come and learn some new fun tips and artful tricks while exploring the cartoon world of stylized animals and humans. We’ll explore different media while focusing heavily on our drawing skills of those fun and colorful characters you see in comic books, cartoons, and video games. Gotta Draw Them All!

Empowering Art

August 7-11
Grades 2-4

Campers will rock this week by celebrating inspirational artists from around the world! Join us as we create one-of-a-kind functional and artsy crafts, while celebrating artists who work in a variety of media. We’ll choose fun and funky motivational quotes based on what inspires us. Next, we will dabble in crafting unique art to fill campers’ personal spaces with positivity. Also, we will create and embellish fabulous journals, perfect for any aspiring writer, and much, much more! It’s guaranteed to be a colorful week of creativity, positivity, and empowerment!

Aloha Art

August 14-18
Grades 2-4

Jump on board and sail away with us on an artistic adventure to a sandy beach with swaying palm trees. We will spend the week learning about the tropics while creating fun projects that involve the sea, sun, and surfing. We will even learn about the state flower of Hawaii and tiki masks as we relax and create beautiful projects inspired by the Aloha state.

The Art of Giving: Microloans

August 7-18
Grades 5-8

This camp combines being an artist, a global citizen, and an entrepreneur. We will begin our session with a visit to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to learn about world issues and the work being done to resolve them. We will then go back to camp and create our own company, complete with a logo and marketing strategy, which creates original handmade artwork for sale. The money we make will be used to fund a “microloan” program; small loans given to people in developing countries.

Where the Wild Things ART

August 21-25
Grades 2-4

It’s a week of imaginary creatures!  We will design and sketch our animals, then use plaster, paint and various materials to make them as REAL as can be!  We will combine them to make a story about our creatures that we can take home on the last day!
