Program your own video game! Kids will learn basic programming, game design, and logic skills as they work with Microsoft’s Kodu: Game Lab to create their own space-themed video game. By combining elements from games such as Asteroids, Missile Command, and Space Invaders, we will make a unique video game that students will create from scratch and also get to play! Kids create 3D maps, environments, characters, unique game features, enemies, and boss challenges. Everyone will get plenty of hands-on time to simulate how developers work. No previous game design experience required.
